Sam Houston Camp No. 55. Woodmen
of the World performed the dedication
cercnmiiy for monuments erected to the
memory of two deceiised sovereigns of
their camp yeserday afternoon.

indeed. When the president's call to
arms was sounded in 'flB ours was the
first order in the country to say ‘Take
your rille and go. sovereigns your dues
shall not lapse while you defend the
Ung.’ Our order never leaves a sov-

"In Galveston our beloved order lost

A proposition was placed before the
club lor Ilie securing of four thousand
dollars upon special conditions which
provoked considerable discussion. Air.
Trimble made a motion to accept the
proposition and to spread a resolution
upon the minutes to that ell'eit. The
motion was pa-sed.
Ihe president then anpoinled Mr. It.
•I. Boyle lo make out the necessary legal
papers for the immediate aeqnisition of
the money. The same is intended for a
new club building and will be available
in less than thirty days and other
moneys from dillerent sources will fol-
low.
A very estimable lady will probable
donate a valuable piece of ground cen-
trally located for the club's use. In that
event the hall will bear the doner's name
to honor and perpet mite (lie memorv of
the noble giver. The ball wilt be of
ancient classical architecture.
The Catholic Young .Men's club is ju~t
entering upon its second year's work
but has never found it necessarv to
make a public appeal for funds for sus-
tenance.
There will be a joint meeting of the
club and Ladies auxiliary tonight to
transact important business. A full at-
tendance is desired.
