LIOR scenic effects, the new "Stars Over Broadway" revue at
: Jr the Worth offers everything but Elisa crossing the ice.
Siris float around on clouds. Another rides a 1000-watt moon. A
featured dancer is lowered from the dizzy heights of the stage. 1
Count Berni Vici’s all-girl band is rolled out on coasters, and
— in another (sequence miniature batteships, ablaze with lights,
steam across the stage. Later on, chorines strut
to "Stars and Stripes Forever” beneath motion
pictures of the late John Philip Sousa, F. D. R.,
Col. Lindbergh, pursuit planes, battlewagons
and a submarine.
This went on until your correspondent got
the impression that someone must have anap-
ped up the stock of an ailing warehouse st a
steal price, then to have decided to throw in
some actors with the scenery and send out a
show.

Jack Gordon W to old Publix unit show days, the Count
has brought along some streamlined entertainers. By today, a
considerable amount of these scenic gadgets probably will have
been loaned in the alley, giving entertainers a better chance to
do their stuff. The show virtually was broken In on the Worth
- stage Saturday, after only one earlier complete exhibition- in |

With Count Berni Vici’s all gal band (able musicians all),
Everett Marshall, the Debonaires, Don Cummings and at least
two other fit at rate acts, the show la a bargain at the 60 cents

Top applause Saturday went to Marshall, who carried the
audience back to happier days the never-to-be-forgotten Casa
Manana Revue of 1936. Marshall first sang "'The Donkey Sere-
nadr" and "That’s Why Darkies Were Born," but he knew the
crowd was waiting for "The Night la Young." That was next,
then "Another Mile," also a Casa favorite,
