RAIN INTERFERES WITH
THE GLORIOUS FOURTH
The Fouith -was celebrated in San
Antonio under most unfavorable auv
pices. The heavy rain Imeriered with
the program but the civic and mili-
tary parade was pulled according to
schedule. At nlgut the patriotically
entmued fired the cannon cracker and
turned loose the sky rocket jrbmisctl
ausly over the city an I thereby ac-
corded the usual American honors to
the immortal day. A number of acci-
dents uave been report 'd but so far
as the returns have been received
there were no serious casualties as a
result ot the day's celebration.
