I had to be at the airport by 6:20 a.m. Tuesday morning.
Well actually my plane was scheduled to leave the airport at
6:20 a.m: That meant that I should be at the airport by, oh say,
6:00 am. Well, really your suppose to be at the airport forty-
ark in it could take fort minutes to get to the correct
departure terminal so Id better get there at about 4:55 a.m.
That’s good. I'll be there at 4:55 in the morning and there

Say two hours. That means I’d leave home at 2:55 a.m.
2:55 a.m.! That is ridiculous. The heck with all that plan-
ning. 1 set the alarm for 3:30 a.m. and promptly fell asleep. It
was about 9:30 p.m.
I heard coyotes howling at 2:00 a.m. I woke up in a sweat.
At first I wasn’t sure whether the lambs were, at that very
moment, being served up as dinner to a hungry coyote family
or whether I had over slept. The green, digital, alarm clock

Warriorettes Turn Table On Tigerettes
It was their third match up of the
year. The Lady Warriors of Honey
Grove won the first, the Tigerettes
came back strong to win the second
and the Lady Warriors just figured it
was their turn again as they Tommy
hawked the Tigerettes Monday night,
54-48, to win the game and take the
District 17-2A first place honors. The
victory leaves the Lady Warriors with
a 12-1 district record and the Tiger-
ettes with a 11-2 mark and district
runner-up honors.
Just as the Tigerettes had jumped
out to an early lead against the Lady
Warriors to start their last match up,
the Warriors were the ones who hit
the floors running this time. Neither
team scored on their first possession
but the Lady Warriors drew first blood
with a shot from the field with 6:58 on
the first quarter c lock. Two free throws
by the Warriors and another bucket
put them up 6-0. With 5:51 remaining
Mary Jane Pennington put down two
for the Tigerettes to make it 6-2.
An indication as to how the night
might go for the home town girls
came with 4:04 remaining when
Pennington's three-pointer bounced
out, hit the top of the back board (out
of bounds) and then fell through the
hoop. It was ruled no basket. The
Tigerettes were that close all night.
In less than a minute the Tigerettes
had two steals and three quick baskets
to tie the score at eight all with 3:27
still remaining in the first period. Just
