To the Editor,
Holly Thacker received the Celeste
Veterans Memorial Scholarship at the
graduation exercise in Celeste June 1.
Mrs. J.W. Glasscock presented the
scholarship in behalf of her late hus-
band, who was a World War II Vet-
eran.
This is the third year that a deserv-
ing student has been awarded this
scholarship that was proposed to the
school board in April 1988.
This scholarship was set up with a
two fold purpose in memory of all
Veterans and with a helping hand to
the younger generation in obtaining
their education.

By setting your thermostat at 78 in the summer and 68 in the winter,
you can keep your home comfortable without wasting energy.
If you’re tempted to raise or lower the setting, consider this: for each degree
you adjust your thermostat, your energy use increases by about 6 to 8 percent.

Trenton Pharmacy
"Our Pledge To You”
The main goal of Trenton Pharmacy is to give you the
best price available on all pharmaceutical products. We
again urge you to do some price shopping by phone. Check
prices with all drug stores in the area. Really! Do price
shopping! Then call us collect at Trenton Pharmacy, and get
our price quotes. You will find we have the lowest prices and
the best service in this North Texas area.
Many people become concerned when a price goes up on
their prescription. This is rightly so. But when in the last two
months there has been over 1,200 price increases on prescrip-
tion medications, you can see why drug prices do increase. At
Trenton Pharmacy, we do not increase the price of your
prescription until the manufacturer of the drug has a price
increase. This is "OUR PLEDGE TO YOU".
In the coming weeks we will be talking about why some
of your prescription medications seem to go up and up. At
Trenton Pharmacy we continue to strive to keep our prices the
lowest in the area.
The cost of prescription medications to the drug store
has increased over 311% in the last 10 years. But, the retail
price the drug store charges its customers increased only
252%. In the next few weeks we will be discussing why this
is so.
