Homecoming activities set
A parade, pep rally and bonfire will highlight the 1994 Dobie homecoming
celebration. Those events will be held on Oct. 21, with the homecoming game
to be held Oct. 22 at 7:30 p.m. against Deer Park at Memorial Stadium. 8
he Oct. 21 festivities will begin at 6 p.m. with a parade. The parade will begin
at Sagemont Church, proceed down Hughes Road to Blackhawk, and take
Blaclkhawk to El Franco Lee Park. A pep rally will be held at 7 at the park, followed
by the bonfire starting between 8 and 8:15. The entire South Belt community is
invited to take part in all the festivities, which will include the Dobie band,
cheerleaders and Lariaettes. The proceedings are being sponsored by the Dobie

CB starts water polo playoffs
Clear Brook’s boys and girls water polo teams begin play in the Southern
District tournament on Oct. 13. The tournament will be held at Sterling High School
in Baytown. The Clear Brook boys open play against Lee at 5 p.m. The Lady
Wolverines begin against Lee at 4 p.m. The championship games will be held
Oct. 15 at 5 p.m. (girls) and 6 (boys). Following those will be the third place
games at 7 (girls) and 8 (boys). The top four finishers advance to next week’s
regional tournament.
Brook boosters set meetings
The Clear Brook football booster club will meet every Tuesday evening at
7 p.m. in the commons area at the high school. All fans of Wolverine football
are invited to attend. This year’s officers are Gary Bruce, president; Cinda Rank,
vice president; Kent Adams, secretary and Lorraine Bolton, treasurer. Further
