DALLAS AND PACIFIC.
A leading banker of Dallas said to a
News man yesterday that he had personal
knowledge of the fact that important ne-
gotiations were at present pending with
reference to the Dallas and Pacific, with
every probability that such would be
consummated. He also stated that sev
eral parties not heretofore interested
were now lending their aid to the man-
agement of the line, and that the infor-
mation imparted from headquarters at
Philadelphia is of a valuable and encour-
aging character. The gentleman refer-
red to state also that when work is re-
sumed it will be with a view of covering
a hundred or more miles from terminus
of the present grade, and the latter
would be placed in running shape for the
use of the fail trade.—Dallas News of
