Saturday, February 8, being Jesse
Li'.ndirum’s birthday, his wife and
daughter, Mrs Douglas Kain, planned
a surprise for him and when the time
set for this jolly event came around
that evening Mrs Landrum asked
him if he wasn't going to dress up
as he still had on his working togs
and he replied "not now, it is most
too late, will soon be bed time
About that time Mrs Arthur Gotts-
chalk came in and after greetings
asked "Pa" (as the neighbors all
call him) "what is ma doing so dress-
ed up?" He said, "All she does now
is dress up all day long, she is get-
ting childi h." Then the real fun
began. Mr. and Mrs. Dagner came
in and Mrs. Landrum said "what do
you say if we all go to the dance?
"Pa" balked again. In no humor
to dress up. It had never dawned
on him that this was his natal day
kin. but only lived three days. Sym-
pathy is felt for these young par-
ents and the B H. Wheeler family
in their loss.
