The second studio tea and art ex
hibit given by the College of Music
and Art Saturday afternoon was a
very enjoyable affair. The work or
the students was on exhibition some
really beautiful work being showr.

done during the past month, among
the students so honored were Ken

Vaughn, Alexander McKee and John
McKee in the water color and crayon
departments. In the charcoal work

John McKee, Paul Pond, Alexander
McKee and Kenneth Barker. In the
juvenile department to Louise Ser
ens. Paul Walters and Madge Tum-
mint. Several especial mentions were
given to Miss Ethel Bean for her
work in oil. The students work is
all original, either .taken from mod-
els in still life or from living mod-
| els. Several of the figures done in.
charcoal were very good. , All of the
work on exhibition showed talent,
careful preparation and execution. In
the cermaic department honorable
mention was given to Misses Lillian
McGregor, Clara McCarty and Au-
drey Addickes. In this department
as well as in the others the work is
strictly original the students working
out their own designs and applying
them. Saturday afternoon Miss
| Ritchie poured tea, assisted by
Misses Lillian McGregor, Vaughn,
and Clara McCarty. Mrs. Me
Kee and Miss Ernst, the art teacher,
received the guests. These little In-
formal teas are always very pleasant
affairs both as social functions and
art exhibits. . ,

BAPTIST WOMAN’S ALLIANCE
HOLDS MISSIONARY MEETING
The Baptist Woman's Alliance held
the monthly missionary meeting Mon
day afternoon. The Alliance had as
its guest, Mrs Snow who represent,
cd the Baptist Memorial Sanitarium
at Dallas She made a splendid talk
on "Consec rated Womanhood" and
made —an appeal—in- —behalf of the -
sanitarium. Mrs. Barringer'was the
leader for the afternoon and an ex-

MASQUERADERS MAKE MERRY
AT THE MYTINGER HOME.
Mrs. J. C. Mytinger, entertained
Tuescay evening honoring her charm-
ing guest. Miss L.ols Emmert of
Laris, choosing a masquerade party
for the expression of her hospitality.
All of the guests were masked and
as each one came alone the identi-
ties of all were completely hidden. A
number of charming concerts were
exhibited in the costumes, many of
which were, clever and lovely in the
extreme. The honoree wore a charm-
ing Colonial costume of pink and
white, with plumed head dress. A
unique feature was introduced when
a large box was brought in and un.

paper and packing was removed, a
large French doll, later discovered to
be Miss Lilian McGregor. Miss
Jewel Kemp represented a little girl
with Newton Maer disguised as her
