Do you wish to eliminate that disagreeable odor of the toilet?
THE NEW SPIRAL CONTAINER WILL DO IT.
It is a cell spring filled with the most effective disinfectant on the mar-
' ket and fits just ou the inside of tie toilet bowl. So when the toilet
: is flushed the water passes through the coil thus keeping the bowl free
from germs. The Spiral Container is sold on Its merits and not on mis
representation. It is endorsed by your sanitary officers, both county
and city. Take it on trial—use it and if you believe in sanitation you
will purchase one for the toilet. The price is $1.00 with enough disin-
fectant to last four to six months and a new supply of the disinfectant
may be secured from your local druggist. 30 cents worth will last a
year. We are going to give every residence in the city as well as busi-
ness houses an opportunity to buy them, so please be good enough to
allow the salesman an opportunity to tell you of its merits

COTTON SEED
FOR PLANTING
_____The question of a supply of a reliable planting seed to insure a cot—
ton crop for next season is a serious one. The seed produced in this
section from start to finish this season were more or less damaged by
either drought or wet weather. Good crops cannot be produced from
seed of low germinating power. We earnestly call the attention of all
bankers, merchants, land-owners, ginners and farmers who are at all
interested in planters making a good cotton crop to the fact that It
is to the Interest of all to join in an effort to induce the planters to
...secure some. so9d seed, outside, this section. Some, people will con =
tend that some of the seed raised this season are good enough, but we
insist that it is dangerous to risk planting this drought stricken seed
PURE SELECTED ROWDEN SEED—Two years ago we Imported
a car of selected Rowden Seed, some of which we have sold each year,
but still hove on hand about 250 bushels of these, put up in sacks of
3 1-2 bushels to the sack which we will sell at what they stand us on
our hooka—$1.00 per bushel.
SECOND YEAR, FAIRLY STRAIGHT MEBANE—We recently
purchased from s reliable concern In Central Texas a car of fairly
straight, second year .Mebane seed. Next month we will run these
through our cleaning machinery, then through our listing machines
to take off the lint, thus making them absolutely clean and with lint
removed they should germinate quicker. We have about 1200 bushels
of these, put up in sacks of 2 bushels each. These we will sell at cost
—70c per bushel.
GOOD, CLEAN. PLAIN SEED—Last May we shipped in from Ok-
la homa a car of first class, plain seed for planting, out of which we
carried over 1200 bushels. These have been run through our cleaning
machinery and the linting machines, hence are absolutely clean and
lint removed. They are in sacks of 2 bushels each, and will be sold at
what they stand on our books—65c a bushel.
If the planters do not care to buy any of the above we still urge
—them to send away somewhere and get some goodsseed not-grown-in-a

Establishment of Peace Between Vati-

Rome, Feb. —Pope Pius has just
surprised the entire Catholic world
and not a little bit ot the interna-
tional political as well, by what is
conceded to be most important step
ol his pontificate. This Is nothing
less than the admission that the
Vatican is now willing to accept the
condition imposed upon it for forty
years when Italy deprived it ot its
temporal power by the confiscation of
Rome Mini the Pupal States The Vittl
can does not renounce its claim to
temporal power; it admits only the
futility of hoping to regain it, but this
admission is sufficient to permit the
establishment of peace between the
Quirinal- and Vatican That such a
peace will be brought about is now a
practical certainty.
