recently convicted and sentenced after
an effort had been made to collect his
life insurance, has figured in North
west Texas and Panhandle court re-
cords extensively before, it is learned.
i Morgan’s latest stunt" followed the
burning of his house, scorched bones
‘being found in the ruins. Morgan had
1 disappeared and an effort was made
to collect his insurance money. It was
shown, however, that the bones were
ithose of a calf. Later Morgan waa lo-
cated and indicted.
Some details of Morgan’s past his-
tory are given in the Vernon Call,
which says:
