The King and Queen of England entertained at a Garden Party at
Buckingham Palace on a recent afternoon, the account of which 1 am
pleased to copy from the leading London Daily Paper, which reads as
The Marques and Marchioness of Zetland regret that they were un-
able and unavoidably prevented from obeying their Majesties’ comman

WASHINGTON, D C., Aug. 28.--
Report* from th* states that have
already held their primary election*
and where the fall campaign as be-
tween Republicans and Democrats
to under way, sre almost uniform In
saying that prohibition tends to be
the leading issue, and that efforts
to supplant it with other issues,
either local or national, are useless, a warwhoop. It was a round 'run

liens might make in behalf of a
church enterprise, and sees his
nephew, another Mellon, head of the
committee responsible for electing
Vare. Senator David A. Reed, of

pioneer New Hampshire boys were
out in the woods setting beaver

skins to sell to the fur traders for
