the man up and arrest him. Going
out on his quest, the officer paused to
take a good look at the picture and i
recognized it. Putting it in his pot ket!

tinued on his rounds, returning in
about half an hour with the informa-
tion that he bad found the man and
that he was now in the county jail.
"I took him up there, for he was
mad as hope and swore he was going
to sue the city for this outrage," he
said.
The night chief and other officers
in the station sprang into immediate
action on this startling report. Fall
lug in their frantic efforts to get the
county jail by telephone, they piled
into the police jitney and hied full
speed to the jail, which they gave a
thorough search for the innocent,

ern cowboy, the plaintive melodies of
the mountaineer of Tennessee and
Kentucky, as well as the more famil-

ENGINEERING CORPS.

Austin. Texas, April 12.—In antici-
pation of active service In the war
with Germany, engineering students
of the University of Texas have prac-
tically completed the organization of
an engineering corps. There is quite
a large number of senior engineering
students at the university and a great
majority of them have already joined
the organization.
