Carlisle tells Chamber about
City's progress and future at meeting
Monday’s attendance at the Sealy
Chamber of Commerce meeting
was one of the largest ever. More
than fifty men and women came to
Tony’s Restaurant to hear city
administrator, Roger Carlisle, tell
of Sealy area progress and future
projection.
Carlisle said when the citizens of
Sealy decided to move forward, the

and programs and area economic development.
City decided to do what the citizens
needed. Planning and organization
proved rewarding as things began to
happen under the cooperative effort
of staff and employees. Everything
happens through the work of the
governmental body.
With a color slide illustration of
the various progressive develop-

gave a brief narration of the city’s
progress, introducing the audience

jogging trail and a pond with a pier.
These have been added to the ball
fields, playing courts and the
pavilion with a picnic area.
Carlisle said that future
improvements are projected at the
W. E. Hill Community Center, and
the taking over of the present post

will be a plus for the city. He

Holiday Express and Taco Bell
are expected to start development in
locations off Highway 36 in a short
time, Carlisle advised.
The entire report was upbeat and
gave evidence of the planned devel-

has been involved. Carlisle con-
