4-H program offers opportunities for local citizens
The Austin County 4-H program would like to cordially invite citizens to
participate in the county’s 4-H Program. The 4-H program is organized to
provide you the opportunities to make new friends, build leadership
skills, and provide knowledge and skills in several project areas of your
choice such as: Clothing Construction, Food and Nutrition, Photography,
Consumer Life Skills, Consumer Judging, Beef, Swine, Sheep, Poultry,
Rabbits and Horses. Over 400 youth are enrolled and participate as mem-
bers in 14 clubs in Austin County. "We would like very much for you to
come and share in the fun of 4-H," says Michelle Allen. Contact Allen or

information and any questions you may have.
Men’s Fellowship meets in Bellville twice a month
The Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship, an interdenominational
organization of Christian laymen, meets twice a month — the first
Saturday at 8 a.m. in the Bellville Restaurant; and the third Friday at 7:30
p.m. at the Sens Center — and the public is invited to attend.
Helping One Another annual fund raiser May 5
Helping One Another (HOA) announces its 2nd annual major fund rais-
er of the year with its annual chicken and sausage barbecue Friday May 5
at the HOA offices at 510 2nd St. in Sealy. Plates to go with all the trim-
mings are only $5. Buddy Chance, HOA executive Director, guarantees
patrons will enjoy their lunch and not have to worry with long lines to get
