HOUSTON — Behind the scoring of six-foot-six
Micah Owens of San Antonio Jefferson, the South
All-Stars came-from -behind in the fourth quarter
to take a 95-90 victory over the North in the Texas
High School Coaches Association All-Star
basketball game
Owens, who is heading for New Mexico State in
the fall, rammed in 33 points and grabbed 13
rebounds, and he was voted the Most Valuable
Player in the 31st All-Star basketball clash-at the

race in the XXI Olympic Games and in

Bostock says he's not thinking about win-
ning the American League batting title this
year, even though he raised his batting
average to 350 Wednesday night
Bostock had five hits as the Minnesota
Twins swept a doubleheader from the Texas
Rangers, taking the first game 8-5 and
claiming an 8-0 victory in the nightcap

carried it to six consecutive victories, ripped the Dallas
Scorpions 8-3 to advance into the semifinal of the District a

Two hits each from Darrell Samuelson, Keith Raney and
Mike Gillum and one hit each from Louie Chavez and Jay
Carrico provided Coca-Cola with its winning margin.
Samuelson started for Coke and went the first four innings
to pick up the victory. Gillum came in m relief in the firth
