A Baseball card collecting once considered
as a hobby for minor family members has
blossomed into a major collecting field
Various firms issued them, although the
tobacco, cereal and gum cards are perhaps
the best known Many baseball card en-
thusiasts team up for trading or swapping
sessions, but sometimes the juvenile
collector competes’ with the pros for rarer
cards. Numerous cards can be acquired for
less than $1. However, others score a
homerun value-wise, such as the following
cards which are hovering in the 53 to $8
range; Joe Dimaggio, 1939, gum card, Bob
Feller, 1951, cereal card. Carl Hubbell, 1941.

When two people work and live in an
apartment there is a temptation to
farm .out chores that are time
consuming One young wife was ap-
palled at how much "lazy money .' they
had spent last year She has just begun -
to keep books. Married four years, they -
were "using spare time for rest and
relaxation "..
She claims they spent more than
$3,000 last y ear on jobs they could have
done easily, and it's a question of "next
year we must get organized," she says.
Some ways their money disappeared
included these;
- Paying $250 for painting, and
wallpapering.

harshest critics are siblings who often ex
