Lewisville Ready For Industrial Growth
Agencies Cooperate To Achieve Orderly Process
LEWISVILLE This city industrial development and
is virtually an undiscovered growth - -
goldmine for industrial ■
development, believes Bill
Weaver, co-chairman of the
Greater Lewisville Chamber
of Commerce industrial
committee
And that's one good reason
landowners and realty
agents should be investors in
the chamber of commerce,
says Weaver
Weaver estimates there
are some 1,500 to 1,800 acres
in the Lewisville area that
are zoned for light or heavy
industrial uses
"Most of those tracts have
utilities and some have rail
frontage." Weaver said. "All
have good access and are
immediately available for
Tabulating just how many
industrial prospects of late
have expressed interest in
Lewisville is difficult, says
Weaver because inquiries
come via many sources.
"But we've had more in the
last 12 months than we had in
the previous 36 months," he
said
And at some point those
inquiries come through the
city’s chamber of com-
merce. which is the reason a
centralized data sy stem was
initiated some six months
ago
Periodically, record cards
are distributed to all local
realtors. Those realtors fill
out the cards, including

The system benefits the
landowner, the realty agent
and the city itself. Weaver
believes. And that, he says,

Weaver is also quick to
give credit to other agencies
