Benna P. Stiles, 79, of Vidor and
formerly of Cuero died Tuesday,
July 27, 1993.
She was born June 16, 1914, in
Chillicothe to the late Benjamin T.
and Blanche B. Smith Perry. The
homemaker was a Presbyterian.
Survivors include a daughter,
Martha B. Stiles Green of Lubbock;
son, David M. Stiles Jr. of Vidor;
sister, Juanita Kimbrough of Ven-
tura, Calif.; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her
husband, David M. Stiles Sr.
Services were at 2:30 p.m.

Lu Elsie Nagel Jones, 95, of San
Antonio, formerly of Cuero, died
Thursday, July 29, 1993.
She was born May 9, 1898, in
Waco to the late Henry W. and
Annie Mae Thomas Nagel. She
graduated from Cuero High School
and Denton College. She was past
president of Federated Clubs in San
Antonio and was a San Antonio
businesswoman. Mrs. Jones was a
county extension agent for
Cameron County and a member of , Lutheran Church.,.
Alamo Heights Presbyterian 'Survivors-include his wife;
Church in San Antonio. A
Survivors include a sister, Melba
Neill of Leavenworth, Kan.;
brother, Edwin Nagel of Cuero; and
one step-grandson.
She was preceded in death by her
husband, Clair Jones; sisters, Lil-
lian George and Anne Benton and
brother, Albert Nagel.
Services were at 2 p.m. Saturday
at Freund Funeral Home with the
Rev. Beth Ann Doerring officiat-
ing.
Burial followed in Hillside
Cemetery under direction of Freund
Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were nephews
Charles Nagel, DeWitt George,
Dan Machen, Scott Benfield,

Stephen Toiler and Michael Rabe.

Walter Duderstadt
Walter Duderstadt, 80, of
Weser, died Friday, July 30, 1993.
He was born Aug. 25, 1913, in
Ander to the late Arthur and Lilly
Luder Duderstadt. He married the
former Lucille Ideus on Nov. 16,
1940, in Ander. Mr. Duderstadt
was a self-employed farmer-
rancher and a member of St. Peter
daughters, Jean Striedel of
Yorktown and Debbie Foster of
Weser; two grandchildren and one
great-grandchild. E
Services were at 11 a.m. Monday
at St. Peter Lutheran Church in An-
der with the Rev. Paul Kersten of-
ficiating.
Burial followed in St Peter
Lutheran Cemetery in Ander under
direction of Lamprecht-Janssen
Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Darwin
Duderstadt, Roman Bethke, Craig
Duderstadt, Ronnie Childs, John
