the national contest sponsored by
USA Weekend.

the November 9 business meeting
of the Pilot Club of Cuero.
In other business, Mickey Parma
announced the club met its goal in
selling the Innisbrook gift wrap.
The order should be in shortly.

Play at Jr. High Dec. 7
Cuero Junior High School will
be presenting the Hamstead players
at the Junior High Cafeteria on
December 7, 1993.
The Hamstead players are a
young English-based touring com-
pany dedicated to children’s
theatre. The aim of the group is to
kindle enthusiasm and love for the
theatre by presenting shows in
which the audience can participate.
The group will be presenting
Charles Dickens’ "A Christmas
Carol." This is a story that is both
timeless and universal. The
Hamstead players have tried to
keep very much to the original in
both message and form.
It is a channing and delightful
yarn, a far cry from the commer-
cialism that has, in recent years,
gone hand in hand with Christmas.
