neighborhood, were transacting busi-

Mr. T. J. Glass left this afternoon
for Abilene to attend the funeral of
his son, who died in that city yester-
day afternoon at 5 o’clock.
Mr. W. 8. Miller, foreman of the
Times composing and job rooms, left
today for Waxahachie, where he will
visit for a week or more.
Mrs. W. N. White of Lake Provi-
dence, La., arrived Saturday afternoon
from Fort Worth for an extended visit
to her daughter, Mrs. M. J. Shivers.
Mar. M. D. King and children, who
have been viaiting relatives in this
city for the past month, left this morn-
ing for their home at Hattiesburg, Mis-
sissippi.
H. M. Button left today for Coweta,

Sheriff Walkup and Deputy Jernigan
yesterday arrested Wesley Bennett,
wsnted at Jasper, Alabama, to answer
to an indictment charging forgery.
Bennett was arrested at the Denver
track layers' camp near Jolly. Sheriff
Walkup has been notified by the Ala-
ba ma authorities that an officer is on
his way here to take Bennett back for
trial.
