Heather Rae Brown *
Accounting is on the horizon for Heather L
Brown, daughter of Betty Rae and the late
David Brown. As Valedictorian she holds a
96.83 average. She was recentfy awarded
the Governor’s Recognition Award, the UIL
Scholar Award and the Presidential
Academic Fitness Award.
She was awarded ”G” Awards in the
following areas of subject matter. English,
Journalism, Math, and Government and
Economics.
Heather has been a member of FHA for *
four years as well as 1st Vice President. She
was senior class Vice-President, and Editor
of the "Tigers Tale". .
She was overall State Championship in
Headline Writing in 1990. She was a«
member of the state qualijying Jets team,
and a participant in the Chemistry 4
Olympiad.
A member of St. Mary’s Church, she also 4
belongs to the CYO. -
Heather enjoys shopping reading and
watching movies. -

In UIL, she participated in accounting
and was awarded 4th place in district 1
Connie also entered feature writing and
placed 3rd.
* She was a Member of FHA for 3 years,
T band one year, and a member of the
* Drafting Club for one year.
She plans to attend the Amarillo College
K of Hairdressing and also take some business
courses.
Kyle William Howard
Kyle Howard has plans to achieve a
doctorate in Psychology. Having submitted K
applications to several colleges including y
Texas Wesleyan, WTSU and Amarillo Y
College and has been accepted at *
Midwestern State University, he will decide T
later this summer which school he will *
attend.
A very active student, he has held many K
positions of leadership at Groom High. He y
was class president for two years as well as Y
class favorite for one year. He was football +
manager his freshman year.
Journalism and UIL competition have *
taken up much of Kyle’s time in high school *
He was a staff member of the Tiger’s Tale
for two years. He participated in editorial *
art his senior year. He was named in the
Who’s Who in American High Schools for 2 K
years.
