Many visitors came
during the Christmas
weekend which saw many of
us with colds and a touch of
the flu. Some residents
cancelled plans to go home
with relatives in order to
vacations and illness.

Mrs. Ida Shull passed
away in her sleep Thursday
morning, December 30th.
During the week we
received all of our
Christmas photos and
updated our newspaper
scrapbook and photo
albums. Everyone received
a photo of them-self, which
turned out very well and -
showed how successful our
Christmas Party was. Leon
Burch now displays the
Lone Star flag under the
Stars & Stripes after new
clips were installed to allow
us to hang the Texas Flag
donated by the VFW.
We welcomed two new
residents on that busy
Thursday morning of
December 30th. Mrs.

hospital for a broken hip.
Ruby was born October 1st,
1910 and married Willy
Boyd who farmed South of
McLean.
Nadine
Her daughter,

Whitesboro, Texas,

Granville, married to Muriel
is a retired Northern
Natural Gas employee.
They live in Spearman,
Texas. Ruby’s daughter-in-
law Mary is the secretary at
McLean’s First Baptist
Church. Ruby was also
employed at McLean’s
factory.
We welcome Duella and
Ruby and wish them and all
our friends the best in 1994.

Ida Bell Shull
Ida Bell Shull, 91, died
Thursday, December 30,
1993. Graveside services
were in McLean Cemetery
with the Rev. Thacker
Haynes, minister of McLean
United Methodist Church,
officiating. Arrangements
were with Wright Funeral
Directors of Shamrock.
Mrs. Shull was born in
Abilene. She married W.C.
Shull in 1937 at Midland.
She lived in Stanton until
1940, when she moved to
McLean. She was employed

Tidwell and Nora Dragoo
were in Pampa on Monday.
The Elmer Daniels had
daughter Christi and
grandson Trevor for
Christmas dinner. Visiting
also was grandson Logan
from Oklahoma.

their children home
Christmas.
Rose Hall had

her
as a licensed
director with
Funeral Homes,
she and her

In 1945,
husband
children, the Wesley Sharps
of Clarendon, the Glen
Hallums of Lubbock, the
Jack Halls of Clarendon and
the Billy Bob Adams of
opened Paint and Paper
Building Supply. She
owned and operated it until
1957. She was a licensed
vocational nurse for 15
years in Shamrock, Groom
and McLean hospitals until
her retirement. She was
preceded in death by her
husband in 1955.
Survivors include a son,
Neal Shull of Oklahoma
City; and a brother, Jimmy
Mashburn of Midland.

medical tests.
