Patent for a new and improved sheep-shearing machine. This design consists in "the plate having the teeth with the concave faces and cutting edges, in combination with [another] plate operating on [the first] plate and having the teeth, with the concaved lower faces and cutting edges adapted to operate on the cutting edges of teeth" (lines 10-16).
