the weeds and other trash, and it will conse-
quently never become choked. This feature
to agreat extent is owing to the peculiar shape
5 of the implement, and the fact that no angles
are formed against which the weeds may lodge.
The plow is furthermore exceedingly eco-
nomic, durable and simple in its construction.
Having thus described our invention, we
io claim as new and desire to secure by Letters
Patent-
1. An improved sweepstock, comprising a
beam having a forwardly and downwardly
projecting curved heel, a sweep holder on the
15 lower end thereof, a rearward extension or
shoe pivoted at its front end to the sweep
holder, and a link arm pivotally connected
with the rear end of the shoe, and means for
adjustably connecting the upper end of the
20 said link with the heel portion of the beam,
all arranged substantially as shown and for
the purposes described.
2. In a sweep stock, a beam having its body
shaped upon the lines of a compound curve
25 and its heel forwardly and downwardly curved
beneath the body, and a sweep holder com-
prising two members curved in a forwarddirection, both members being pivotally con-
nected with the lower portion of the beam ex-
tension, the members being provided with ap- 30
ertures above their pivot points, and a lock-
ing bolt adapted to pass through aligning ap-
ertures in the members of the holder and
through a registering aperture in the exten-
sion of the frame, as and for the purpose speci- 35
fled.
3. In a sweep stock, the combination, with
a beam provided with a forwardly and down-
wardly projecting heel extension, and a sweep
holder adjustably connected with the exten- 40
sion of the beam, of a shoe located at an an-
gle to the holder, extending rearwardly there-
from and pivoted thereto, a link adjustably
connecting the heel of the shoe with the heel
of the beam, handles pivotally connected with 45
the beam, and braces adjustably connected
with the handles, whereby the latter may be
raised and lowered, substantially as and for
the purpose specified.
