A Democratic meeting was held in the Coarta
room on Thursiay, and delegates appointed to at-
tend the Waco Convention. Several spirited ad-
dreeees were delivered. Judge Anderson, of PanO'
la oounty, L. ,F. Casey, Esq., of Shelby obnnty,
Hon. J. M. Buroughs of this oounty, and others.

this County. But it is-hoped Hon. J. H. Speights

send two representativas, and if the gentlemen no-

nearly "knee high" and the cotton on several of the

good crop. I visited our neigboring town of San
Augustine on Tuesday—the place looks clever sad
improving. The good citizens are spirited and

on Saturday, by Mr. Geo. W. King. Mr. King is
