Loüuvujjt, Oct. 20.—The Presbyterian Synod
of Kentucky yesterday adopted a paper touching
the action of the late General Assembly—ayes 53,
nftys 48. The paper is substantially as follows:
The acts> oi the last Assembly on overtures,
numbers six and seven, and resolution number
■ou.rePor' Comknittee on Board of Domes-
tic Missions, are oondemned as unwise, unconsti-
tutional and unscriptural, and hope the Assembly
will review and correct these' deliverances.
2. Yet none of the acts of the Assembly during
the years 1864-65 inclusive, justify a withdrawal
from that body, and assert that the Synod will ad*
herewith unbroken purpose to the Presbyterian
Church of the United States, and will oppose ev-
ery effort to produce schism.
3. The Synod disapproves of the declaration and
testimony adopted by the Presbytery of Louisville
and enjoins upon that Presbytery to forbear what-
ever tends to disturbance or alienation. •
4th. All under the Synod's care are urged'to
study the things wtyqh make for p#ace.
No action of general interest to-day. Synod ad
journed this a Iternoon, to meet at Henderson on
the third Wednesday of October next.
