Louden &. Co. justly claim the discovery

articles upon the unsuspecting, without re-
gard to justice, or any known merit in the

Headache.—'ThU disease ie onu from wnlch
arise more mi<e< ics to the human family than
U generally supposed. Not being directly fa-
tal, it is of'.en neglected, or persons resort to
much to the use of purgatives and other med
icines, as to impair iheir health, and often in-
duce fntal diseases. The aiticle, Dr. Spohns
Headache Remedy, now offered, seems to have
overcome these difficulties. While its effects
are most powerful and immediate in curinug a
attack or in keeping it off, it is so perfectly
mild and innocent ns to be used for infuts with
tho greatost effect and safety. This has now
been attested by so many of the hiuhest mem-
bers of the community, as to roquire no proof.
If tnlten a few times in as many hours, when
there are indications of an approaching attack,
it is sure in all cases to prevent the attack. If
used for a few weeks, the premonitory r-mp-
toms gradually subside, until they wholl., Ji>.
appear, and never, without some great ;ler-
na! or predisposing cause, return. If the per-
son neglects to use it till the headache com-
mences, it sometimes cures instantly,—but at
others, the turns will have their course for two
or three weeks, and then wholly disappear.
Comet's Magic Pain Extractor,
Combines and exhibits five extra Intrinsic
attributes unknown before, v¡7.—Entire control
over injuries by fire; extracts mortification; re-
lieves all pain, of even the worst burns, bruises,
sores, Arc., almost instantly; and heals, leaving
no scar. In the following complaints the mag-
ical salve acts like a charm, and is warranted
to please in every case. No one teed pur-
chase the salve upon uncertainties, as we guar-
antee it toaerate more effectually than any oth-
er preparation before the public, or any other
prescription prepared by any medical man in
America.
Its first action is to expel all humor. It will
not cease acting until the face is free frum all
matter that may be lodged under the skin, and
frequently breaking out to the surface. When
there is nothing but gros.mess or dull repulsive
su rfjtce, it begins to soften and soften, until
he skin becuuies as smooth an J delicate as b
child's.
Hctees' Nerve and Bone Liniment, and thr
Indian Specific!
Rheumatism, contracted cords, and mueles
permanently cured The practitioner of great-
est skill, if honest, generally shrinks in despair
at the prospect of governing and eradicating
these diseases. His remedies ure generally
palliate, and the patient feels happy at any re-
relief from his torments. If his family doctor
gives him any hope of a cure, it is at the end
of a long course of medicine that is to act up-
on the system, or at the expense of drawing
from the arm his life's blooil, until, if cured,
(which it is ne"t to impessible to be by these
means,) he has not enough of life left " to be
worth living for." How important, then, a
remedy to check and eradicate rheumatism and
gout,—to extend and strengthen shrivelly and
knotty cord* and muscles, till nature and health
have again sway and contrcl. Such you may
rely is Hewes* Nerve and Bone Liniment,
used o'ternally, and Indian Vegitable Specific,
used externally, sold by G'omstock Si Ho , and
genuine onlv if the fac-S'mile signature of L,
tí. Comstock is on them.

PURIFY THE BLOOD.
MOFFAT'S LIFE P1LLL AND PHCENIX
BITTERS.
THE great popularity with which Mof-
fat's Life Pills and Phcenix Bitters have
attained, in consequence of tho extraordina
ry cures effected by their use, renders it un-
necessary for the proprietor to enter into a
particular analysis ot their medicinal vir-
tues or properties. Having been more than
twenty years before the public, and havinS
the united testimony of Three Millions of
persons who have been restored to the enjoy-
ment of perfcct health by them, it is be-
lieved that their reputation as tho best ve-
getable medicine now before the public,
admits of no dispute. In almost every city
and village in the United States, there are
many who arc ready to testify to their effi-
cacy in removing disease, and giving to the
whole system renewed vigor and health.
In cases of Scrofula, Ulcers, Scurvy, or
Eruptions of the skin, the operation of the
Life Medicines is truly astonishing, often
pepsia, Dropsy, Piles, and in short most all
diseases, soon yield to their curative prop-
erties. No family should be without tliem,
as by their timely use much suffering and
expense maybe saved. Prepared by

Mrs. Brown's great pain killer. 12 cents per
bottle.
Oswego, December 4th, 1840.
" The great recommendation this medicine
has over all others, is—
1st.—Its own intrinic worth; that is, it will
do more than it professes to do than any medi-
cine I know of.
!*nd—Its effects in diseases are immediate.
3rd—A very little wiii te whether it will
Ip the disease or not.
4th—The manner of putting it up. If you
dan sell to a man a shilling bottle, you will
never fail to sell him alarger one. (at least. w«
have never failed doing so.
Wo shall probably want three or four hun
ered dollars worth ne£t year. It ought to b
in every village in this State by ne^t June.-
You can say to Co mstock & Co. that they ca
rely on what we have stated above in relat—
to this medicine. They know us well enoiah
—that we are not apt to exaggerate uonh
about these matlors." Yours, ilc.h
