A romantic story has come to light
in connection with the Italian labor-

laborers wllo died of typhoid fever,
ivas a young and beautiful woman,
dressed in male attire, and named
Angella Laurino. Her lover, Franko
Patricio, came to America and went
to work on the West Shore Road.
after hi* departure from Italy she

way on a steamer to New York.
Clearing that Patricio was at work on
the West Shore Road she also engaged
in the work in hope of finding him.
Ón two occasions she caught sight of
iiim, but was not able to call his at-
tention—once on an express train and
once on a canal boat. Not till her
sickness did she reveal her sex. Pa-

last words, for she expired immedi-
