birthday party
Lex Keim, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Jake Keim celebrated his
7th birthday Tuesday with a
hamburger roast and party.
His guests were Larry Buch-
er, Kenny Morris, David Ez-
zell, Sam Schafer, Fred Pow-
ell, Tommy Massey, Donna
Ruth, Powell and Gary and
Nanette Keim.
Games and trampolining
were enjoyed. Hamburgers,
chips, cake and punch were
served. Each guest received a

Big Brothers to meet:
Wildcats slate scrimmage with
Groom Tigers tomorrow at 7:30
With opening of their 1962
football season only a week
away, the Canadian high
school Wildcats will sharpen
their claws in a scrimmage
session tomorrow afternoon
(Friday) with the Groom Ti-
gers.
The Tigers are coached by
former Canadian assistant
coach Dwain Curry.
The scrimmage, which will
be open to the public, is

Sgt. Roy F. McCurry return-
ed Wednesday after 13 months
in Thailand. He will visit here
in the Bill Mathews home
with his wife and child until
September 7th when they will
leave for Ft. Benning, Georgia.
The Ed Littles returned re-
cently from Ft. Davis where
they attended the Ft. Davis
Camp Meeting.
Eileen Jackson spent sev-
eral days last week in Ama-
rillo visiting with the Jim
Mahon family.
Recent guests in the home
of Mrs. Vera Morehead have
been Mr. and Mrs. John More-
head and Mrs. Katherine Clark
of Westchester, Illinois, Mrs.
Glen Morehead and three
daughters of Oklahoma City,
and Mr. and Mrs. James Cole
and family of Enid, Oklaho-
ma.
Mr. and Mrs. Sparky Eckles
and Mr. and Mrs. Clois Beaty
returned last week from a va-
cation trip to New Mexico
and Colorado, including visits
to Raton and Red River, Colo-
rado Springs, Denver and Es-
tes Park, returning by way of
Canon City and Pueblo. In
Pueblo the group saw Presi-
dent Kennedy.
The W. H. Rivers went to
Arriba, Colorado last weekend
to bring Mary home. She had
been visiting in the Carroll
Kendall home.

be held at Wildcat Stadium
immediately following the
scrimmage session.
New officers will be elect-
ed, and plans for the annual
steak fry for Big Brothers and
football team members and
coaches will be discussed.
The steak fry has been set
for next Thursday night, at
Wildcat Stadium, on the eve
of the opening grid game
against the Wheeler Mus-
tangs which will be played
here Friday night of next
week.
