The members of the Chris
tian church in the Bois d'Arc
neighborhood, have inaugura-
ted a movement to build a new
meeting house, which will be
located a short distance south
of Alfred Chandler's residence.
They are meeting with consid-
erable encouragement, and no
doubt th' work will commence
at an early day.
Theodore Hurtz, loan broker,

Alliance Milling Company will
receive propositions fur the pur
chase of mill machinery on Oc-
tober :ird, at McKinney. The

The Board has secured u char-
ter for $70,000 capital stock, and
secured one of the most suita-
ble building places to be had
in the city.
A sufficient amount has been
subscribed to encourage the di-
rectors to go immediately to
work.
The busi.iess men of McKin-
ney have offered liberal dona-
tions to the enterprise, and are
ready, at any time, to aid in
speeding the good work to com-
pletion.
On October 1st one-third of
the subscribed stock will be
due, aud the Secretary of each
Ailiauce is requested to receive
and receipt for all dues on stock
in eaoh Alliance, and deliver
the same to the Secretary of
the Board, at McKinuey, on
or before October 1st, 1H77.
With a faithful continuation
of the zeal and energy display-
ed by the farmers of Collin
county in the last few months,
the people will soon see one of
the linest mills in the State in
full operation at McKinney.
This mill will be one of the
best Investments in the county.
It will enable the farmer to re-
ceive a better price for graiu,
and all consumers will receive
a lower rate on flour, meal and
mill stuffs. It will increase the
volume of trade at McKinney,
and all classes will be beuelited.

between town and oountry and
help eaoh to feel a desire to aid
the other. Let all continue to
aid this needed enterprise and
the mill will be an assured fact.
