HOUSE BILL NO. 1248 ON
THIRD READING
The Chair laid before the House
on its third reading and final passage,
H. B. No. 1248, A bill to be enti-
tled An Act providing for the creation
of the Nacogdoches County Hospital
District over all of Nacogdoches
County, Texas; providing that the
district shall assume any outstanding
debt of Nacogdoches County incurred
for hospital purposes and any out-
standing debt incurred by any city
or town within said county for such
purpose; prescribing a procedure for
an election on the creation of such
district and the levy of a tax in an
amount not to exceed 75 cents on the
$100 valuation for its maintenance,
support and payment of indebtedness;
providing the powers of the district
and its governing body and its pro-
cedures in the governing of said dis-
trict; enacting other provisions inci-
dent and related to the subject and
purpose; providing a severance
clause; and declaring an emergency.
