Heavy roads caused by excessive rains slowing up
Sedan schedule. Two hundred twenty-eight miles first day.
Eighty-five miles in low and intermediate. Average mileage
twenty-seven and two-tenths second day. Two hundred
seventy-one miles through heavy new roads following three
hour rain. Forded creek Erath jiounty three and one-half
feet deep, no assistance; high clearance and Overland sta-
bility putting Sedan through practically impossible roads.
Sixteen drivers since leaving Dallas. No car trouble. ' It
looks like a record.
