Old Soldier Dead
Hemgtead, N. Y. Sept. 23.—John W.
Hutcltinson, 77, who was in Ford's
theatre, Washington, the night Presi-
dent Lincoln was shot, and one or a
party of army officers who tried to
capture the assassin, is dead at his
home here. Hutchinson served as a
lieutenant of Federal calvary in the
Civil War.
