aged. at H o'clock Sunday morning.

- Mr. Wells was away from the house
Saturday night, and it was not oceupi
ed when the fire started.. It was prac-
tically burned to the ground when the
flames were seen from the I'nion Sta-
tion tower and an alarm given.
The boose destroyed was valued at
ahtfnt >**>. and the household effects
at $300. There was uo Insurance.
Dsmuge to Mr. Lucas building, which
caught from the residence wa estimat-
ed at Iftoo.
. Blanket Insurance covered loss on
both bulldlug and contents, which suf-
fered water damage to some extent.

for the IV. II. Lucas grocery store just
south.

He Is survived by two sons and one
daughter.
Burial was In cemetery at El Paso.
Mr. Mudd left Sherman twenty-five
