A dispute of the fare on a street ear
iti Scotland fonr./ears ago resulted
in a friendship which culminated
liere last night in the marriage of I
Mlas Margaret Muif Gibson and
, Robert Anderson.
It started in Dundee where An-
derson, a soldier in the Scottish
Royal army, was stationed. Miss
Gibson was "doing her bit" by pet-
lng as conductorette on a street car.
She challenged the, soldier and told
him he had not paid his fare. He
insisted that he had paid. They ar-
gued at leugth and went their re-
spective ways in anger.
Later Anderson sought to make''
amends and hunted the young wo-
man up. Ther became friends and

The droll comedian goes through one
of the most original initiation ceremon-

stake before, he is accepted as a mem-

to a suit of asbestos underwear) is re-

The description is accurate enough

have captured Buster as part of the
plot of his latest farce and plan a little

It Is loyely, yes, rarely so, with ftie sort
of elusive beauty which m/ikes you
catch your breath. But it has, besides
soul, a great deal of botiy.
1 fancy most people know tl^e story,
or at least, have a vague and compla-
cent notion what it is all about. Dream
lovers in a dream garden, life lived out
to the uttermost, lHvautifully and sat-,
isfyihgly, by the simple expedient of
"dreaming true," This Is the theme
which animates it; and it is bound to
strike a responsive chord In all of us.
You will liken Miss Elsie Ferguson.
