Parents'
Night is
tonight
It will be back to school night
for the parents of Rio Grande
City High School students on
Tuesday, November 21st; so
announced Ruben Saenz, high
school principal.
Saenz stated that it is ex
treniely important for parents
to become better acquainted
with the school their youngster.'1
attend, and with the teachers,
counselors, administration, and
other supportive personnel who
daily strive to meet the educa-
tional needs of the students.

indicated, is for parents to per-
sonally visit the classrooms and
other facilities students use
every day.
The Parent's Night Program
has been planned with the as-
sistance of the advisory com-
mittee. The advisory commit-
tee is composed of students,
teachers and administrators.
Saenz also stated that parents
will soon be added to the com-
mittee.
The Parent's Night Program
starts at 7:30 p.m. in the high
school cafeteria. An impres-
sive program has been planned.
It includes entertainment, an
overview of the high school cur-
riculum, classroom and faculty
visitations, refreshments, and
election of parents to the ad-
visory committee.

NEW AIRPORT MANAGER—
Starr County Airport Board
Chairman Euladio Carrera an-
nounced that Weldon Roby of
Sweetwater has entered into
services as the new Starr Coun-
ty Airport Manager. Roby, 34
years old is married and is pre-
sently living at the airport house
located at the entrance to the
airport. Roby owns his own air-
plane and will conduct his own
airplane and will conduct his
own flying spray service from
the site. Roby will also have
available a plane for rent and
will be able to evacuate anyone
that needs emergency treatment
or fly anyone on a business or
pleasure trip. His wife,Bernlce
will move here with a son,Leo-
nard. Leonard will be attending
West Grammar Elementary
