Jackonsville, N.C.
A 1969 graduate of Rio Grande
City High School, Rio Grande City,
Texas, he joined the Marine Corps
in August 1969.

America awards program, based in
Montgomery, Alabama, has an
nounced that two women from Rio
Grande City have been selected for
inclusion in the 1987 edition of
Outstanding Young Women of
America
Diane Carol Schiefelbein and
Nidia G. Guillen, both of Rio
Grande City, have been selected
for inclusion in the 1987 edition of
Outstanding Young Women of
America
Now in its 23rd year, the OYWA
program is designed to honor and
encourage exceptional young worn
en between the ages of 21 and 36
who have distinguished themselves
in many fields of endeavor, such as
service to community, professional
leadership, academic achievement.

The organization states,
