It la not out of place to recall that when
the Meneo track opened It then smeared
to be tbe last winter aland for the game
aa Florida and California were shaking on
their last less. Today tne re are more
horses at the track than are combined at
all the other races courses but the clean
racing which rules here desires a ruuer
attendance or followers of the sport. The
game here merits as great a patronage as
the ruling race track of the United states
enjoy In the summer season. The time

Rln Grande will more than come Into lis

undertaking and when any racing organ-
isation can in tbe ups and downs or six
years distribute among horsemen over a

Is ihUk chance or such a plant ever holding

The racing carda from now on aro cer

In Ibe United States in 1015.
Aside from the big rtKht tne coming

In modern improvements. It was so a few
ara hark but has come by tne success
establishing racing here on a big scale
the Jockey Club Jusrci track.
Tho alertness of tbe racing officials at
the Jockey Club Juarex track was again
plainly shown when an attempt was made
fast month to race a supposed ringer which
was programed mis tune witn a pcnigree
or a perrormer nreo ana raised at me
Basbford Manor rarm or George J. Long
in Jefferson county. Kentucky- Horsemen
first thought the performer sent Into the
paddock that day as Repose was tbe same
one which an attempt was made here last
winter to race as uray I'lumo. year
the pedigree or that perrormer was entered
as one or the breeding of J. E. Madden at
Hamburg Place in Kentucky but Its false
lileniiiv was soon discovered as Iho horses

anv of the Madden slock.
With the aid of a confession upon the
pari or inn conspirators tne stewards as
certained that lite marc's real Identity Is
Trade Mark. The receñí errori to run mi
mare under a false pedigree here only
mam prows now impossible It Is to get
anything by tho ruling official of the
Jockey club Juarez track. There la no
course in existence at which more safe-
guards are thrown around racing. Tbe
i orriclals are ever on the alert and any at-
tempt to bring ort anything crooked la
I quickly uncovered.
I There should be a national law in the
I opinion or all square horsemen which
would give a racing association the right
tonritcate any itorse witn wnicn at
tempt has been made to ring in some
states of America the ringing of a horse
race course constitutes a reiuny. in
Mexico all tbit can be used agslnst such
otronders is lurr law aa the rights of
ownership prevents tbe seliure of such
opcriy. ine recent case nowever win
serve lo show that It Is wise t or men at-
tempting such practices to give the Juarez
track a wide berth as they are sure or be
ing discovered and certain to be speouisy
brought to turf Justice.
