Miss Pauline Hargrove, home de-
monstration agent met with a group
of club members Jast Thursday p. m.
July 15th, in the home of Mrs. E. H.
Diers. Miss Hargrove .gave a most
helpful talk on nutrition and how to
preserve and can vegetables and
fruit to get the benefit of the most
food values. Different diseases and
their causes by improper diet were
discussed by Miss Hargrove. She ex-
hibited can products which were then
opened, heated and served to all pre-
sent
Delicious cake and punch were
served the following visitors and
members. Visitors: Mrs. August
Hahn, Mrs. G. A. Diers, Mrs. Edgar
Diers, and Miss Mijdred Hahn. Mem-

Pool Company Trailer
Shown Here Recently
The large clothing display trailer
of the Pool Manufacturing Company
of Sherman was shown in Aspermont
last week. The Pool Manufacturing
Company has become famous for the
manufacture of Pool shirts and
pants, of which there are many de-
signs and colors. Also, the Pool
products are noted for their long-
wearing ability and their non-shrink-
ing features.
The trailer came from Kansas to
Texas a few weeks ago and was dis-
played at Stamford at the Cowboy
Reunion. It is in charge of John Diy-
den, who works with different sales-
men in 25 or 30 states. H'e was with
Buford Dean of Hamlin, who is rep
resentative for the company in this
section.
Mr. Dean worked for Bryant-Link
Company for many years where lie
sold Pool shirts and trousers, lie
knows his products and does not
hesitate to say there are none better
on the market.
The trailer, a product of the Cover-
ed Wagon Company, lias display
counters for tile 240 items which are
manufactured by the Pool Company
lu addition under the counters are
plenty of bins in which can be packed
every product carried by the trailer.
The local Bryant-Link Company
store has been selling Pool garments
lor several years and have a large
number of customers who call for
Pool shirts and trousers when they
go into the store.
Mr. and Mrs. M. N. Guest and
daughters left Sunday for Galves-
ton where they will attend the Post-
masters Convention. En route to Gal-
veston they attended the Frontier
Fiesta at Fort Worth and the Pan
American Exposition at Dallas.
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Baucum and
daughter, Joan, of Quanah visited in
the home of Rev. and Mrs. J. B.
Rowan on Monday of this week. Mr.
Baucum is with the Cameron Lumber
Company. He and his wife wore re-
ce ved into the church during Rev.
Rowan's pastorate there.
Mr. and Mrs. Beryle Evans and
Mrs. J. L. Evans went to Coleman
Wednesday afteernoon for a short
visit with Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Evans,
who are the proud parents of a baby
son born last Monday morning.
Mr. and Mrs. Neal Hudspeth and
small son of Colorado City, Misses
Nora and Sarah Hudspeth of Rule,
and Mr. Frank Turner of Haskell
were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Joe
Hudspeth Sunday.
| Mr. and Mrs. E. D. Goodloe, Mr.
'and Mrs. Waymon Smith and small
son, Bill Matthews and Mr. and Mrs.
11. F. Hudspeth attended the pioneer
folk festival in Anson Friday evening.
