For twenty y.-ars P. O. Elzner has furnished sti|iplie8 to the
people of Bastrop county. He begun in a I0x1'i room, and so
well has he pleased the people, that his business continued to
increase from year to year, until now his lloor room alone readies
7(1,000 si|iiaiv feet, to say nolhiiur of ihe thousands of teet of
shelving and goods hanging from the ceiling. This success can
only l e attributed to the fact that lie has been liberal with his
patrons, honest representation and fair dealing.
Tile stringency of the times necessitates the merchant sell-
ing al the smallest marginal profit ; he must do this to sell goods
at all. P. o. Elznei', rcrogiii/.iug this fact, and further, that lie
lias always been the friend of the laboring classes, will, in
future, mark his st tck still lower down, knocking the bottom
clear out of former prices. This is not "chin music," sounded |
iiiilv to deceive, giving you a few prices on calico, domestics, <ii
remnants, to gel the better opportunity of "gouging" you on l1"''" 1,1 1,1 1 1
oilier items; therefore lie makes no special prices, but sells every
line correspondingly low.
A twenty years ot continuous business in Bastrop, is suf'i
cient for the people to judge of his reliability, lie having spent
his whole business life here, he is no stranger, can trust the peo
pie. ami await their verdict with perfect confidence.
He cannot enumerate prices, because he would not give
you prices ou a few iliiii/ 'tliout giving them upon all. and
