The convening of District
Court and the meeting of the
Bastrop County Democratic Ex-
ecutive Committee in Bastrop on
Monday last, attracted a large
number of citizens from every
part of the county, many from
distant parts who had riot been
on our streets for several years,
and it is needless to say, the can-
didate was strictly in evidence,
spending the day in button holing
the dear-voter and explaining the
whys-and-wherefores it would be
to the advantage of the county
for the primaries to name them
for the office they seek.
