CROP REPORT.
The Cotton Crop in the territo-
ry tributary to the town of Bas-
trop, is turning out better than
first expected, except in the Post
Oaks, where the crop is even
shorter than last year. The crop
is being gathered very fast, and
it is estimated that about St) per
cent has been harvested. There
is some few holding for better
prices, but a large majority are
selling as fast as it is ginned.
There has been about 5,<N>0 bales
sold here so far this year.
Corn is over an average crop,'
and is now being gathered and is
selling at 50c per bushel. The
pecan crop is short, about one-
sixth of last year.
A new line of Boy's and
Men's Hats and Caps at greatly
reduced prices, just received, and
must go at my closing sale. Com-
