RETAINS HER RECORD.
Smithville crossed bats with
Bastrop here this week and it was
"the same old story in the same
old way." Bastrop took Wednes-
day's game by a score of to 2,
which was an interesting game
from the beginning to the end.
,.ifT ,T. T- . r ▼ . tn i' . Winston and Wetzel worked the
List of Land, Lots or Parts of Lots Delinquent batterv for Bastrop and Bohen
to the City of Bastrop for the Taxes of 1911. teais dolng^d^kl'bit
mogt a|wavP th.f case, Bastrop
was just a little better players
than were the visitors.
The second game played Thurs-
day again went to Bastrop by a
score of II to (!, but at the begin-1
ning of the first inning it looked
as thouarh Smithville was i;,Jing|
to walk off with our boys, i'he
first ball put over the plate was
knocked out. by Smithville for a!
two-bagger and heavy battinsr
continued until three runs wen
made before our boys got their j
turn at the bat, but it was here
they charged th'j 1< oks ol' thing,
on the scoro hoard by adding
three runs to their credit and al-
most every innintr thereafter.;
continued to increase the figures
on their side o£ the board until
the above results were obtained
The batteries for this game were j
Clements and Hasler for llastroi
.) ("■ and Moore and Metz for the visi-
4 15|tors.
The third game will be played
today with Luke on the firing
line and Wetzel behind the bat
for Bastrop, and of course we
don't like to make predictions on
most things, but in this case we
can't help but believe we will
be safe in making the statement
that our boys will take this game
with more ease than either of
the above.
