The Mayor of Bastrop, Texas,
Dear Sir:
The enclosed are the plans which were suc-
cessfully adopted for the city of Victoria on "Recruiting
Day."
It is earnestly requested as a matter of patriotism
that, your city have a Recruiting Day on Tuesday, the 15th
of May, along the same lines, where applicable.
It is hoped that you can get your people to outer into
the spirit of the occasion and that your city will furnish
at le;ist 20 men on that day.
Pl< ase confer with the Postmaster and advise this
office at once of what we may expect.
