Mrs. Harriet V. Thomson, aged
04 years. For the mrger part of
this long, useful life Mrs. Thotn
son was a loyal and faithful mem
bcr of the Methodist church, a
regular attendant upon its ser
vice, and |.i generous supporter
of all the departments of church
work. She was a woman of
much ult.ure and many yraces
of body and mind, and held u
large place in the hearts of her
children and her friends. In
her position as teacher many
years ago she came in contact
with other lives, and her influence
led to high and noble ideals. Her
former pupils recall her sweet-
ness of disposition, her gentle-
ness of manner, her refinement
of sentimeut and the tender, wo
manly grace that marked her
daily life. For several months
she had been in feeble health,
ministered to by loved ones and
sustained by an unfaltering trust
in her Saviour until, surrounded
by those who loved her, she
gen'ly fell asleep in Jesus.
Her body was brought to her
old home, was carried to the
church s he Joved, where her
friends of other days had as-
sembled, aud after a simple,
touching service it was laid to
rest in beautiful Fairview, be
neath whose sod reposes the
dust of many of her deat ones.
The memory of ht.r devoted
Christian life is a precious legacy
to all who l<ne r and loved this
good and truly faithful follower
of Christ D. J, O.
