The announcement of the marriage
of Mr. Lynn Manford to Miss Eliz-
abeth Combs of San Marcos Wednes-
day April 22 has been rceived in
our city. Miss Combs is a sister to
our fellow townsman, Dr. H. B.
Combs.
The death of Mr. Charley Hatuia
wheh occured near Red Rock, March
;i. 1000, removed from the community
one of its best citizens. Mr. Hanna
had reached only the age of 33 at th<?
time of his death. In 1898 he was
married to .Viss N'ora Harris, daugh
ter of Mr. and Mrs. P. W. Harris and
two children blessed their union.
We are informed by Mr. W. A.
McCord that one year ago today,
(April "J4, 19081 a killing frost visit-
ed in this section killing corn that was
from three to four feet high.
A few nights ago, Mr Martin
| l.enham caught a large wolf in Mr.
John Boer's pasture. A steel trap
I was set in a cattle trail leading to a
i water hrje. The wolf weighed thirty
| one pounds.
