HISTORY OF YOUR LOCAL MERCHANT
C. P. (Jack) Hirsehfelt, who runs the Saun-
ders Top Shop, one-half block off Main street
one block North of the Herald office, came to
Borger a year ago and has followed the busi
ness he now is in in the same building he now
occupies since that time. Mr. Hirsehfelt believes
in the future of Borger and says he is here to
do business in the Wonder City from now on.
The Saunders Top shop is one of the best
equipped in the Panhandle to do all types of
top work, seat covering, fender and body work,
painting and cleaning of cars. Mr. Hirsehfelt
has been working at the automotive business
for the past twenty years and has as his slogan
"Satisfied Customers", contending that through
his service he wins a circle of business and per-
RY GOODS
sonal friends with all who do business with him.
Mr. Hirsehfelt recently bought out his part-
ner, Mr. Saunders, and since then has continued
the work of the company under single manage-
ment. He says no car ever gets too shabby or
bent up to be repaired with the complete
equipment in his. shop.
Mr. Hirsehfelt came to the Panhandle about
eight years ago from the state of Missouri and
when asked when he was going back, he said,
"I'm never going back. I believe the climate
and the living conditions in West Texas are
better than anywhere in the world and I'm con-
tent to spend the rest of my life here. I think
Borger will continue to grow steadily and to
maintain its reputation of being the Wonder
City of the world."
