Friends of Mrs. S. G. Witson
are sorry to hear that she is ill
and we al] hope she will be up
and welt again soon. Mrs. Jack
Rusk is still on the sick list. She
is at home now and improving.

Dallas is spending this week here
with her family. Mr. and Mrs.
Atvin Maddux.
Mrs. Faye Martin of Jackson-
ville. was the guest speaker Sun-
day night at Old Palestine Bap-
tist Church. She gave an in-
teresting report on the W. M. U.
Houseparty that was held recent-
ly at Baylor University in Waco.
Mr. and Mrs. Travis Rusk of
Lufkin. were visitors in the Jack
Rusk home Sunday. Mr. and Mrs.
Earnest McCarty of Wells also
visited Mr. and Mrs. Jack Rusk
recently.
Mrs. Grady Ewing of Jackson-
ville is visiting her parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Sterling WHson.
We are sorry to hear that Mrs.
Julia Gulledge is ill and her
friends all wish her a quick re-
covery.
Mr. Frank Harold Engledow j
and son, Jerry, also Miss Betty !
Cotton, all of Waco, visited in the
Frank Engledow home last week.
Jerry remained here and will at-
tend Atto High School this year.
Bob Engledow returned to Waco
after several weeks visit here
with his grandparents.
Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Nara-
more of Mt. Pleasant, were week-
end visitors in the G. R. Morris
home also Mr. and Mrs. Floyd
Blevins and Barbara of Houston.
Mrs. Morris. Florine Morris, Mrs.
Blevins and Barbara, are in Mt.
Pleasant this week as guests of
the Naramore family.
The Edd Stanleys had as their
guests from Wednesday until
Sunday their daughter. Mrs. Ruth
Scheaffer and family of Fort
Worth.
Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Liles re-
cently spent a few days in Dal-
las with the former's sister. Mrs.
J. A Cooney. From Dallas they
went on to Lawton Okla. where
they were guests of their nephew,
Cecil Maddux and family.
Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Sessions
of Alto, were guests of Mr. and
Mrs. J. C. Copeland Saturday j
night.
