Old Larissa Cemetery near
Jacksonville where Mrs. Liles'
grandfather, a Confederate sol-
dier, is buried. Mrs. Liies said
it was the first time she had
ever visited his grave.
Dr. Granville Hays and Mr.
Bill Rinegar of Alvin, spent
Wednesday night with the Chas.
R. Murphys with a bird hunt in
view for Thursday morning.
Miss Julie Jeter of San An-
tonio spent last week with her
aunt, Viola Scales.
David Engledow of Dallas
spent the New Yaar holidays
with his parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Frank Engledow.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Worley
and daughter, Donna Faye, of
Dallas spent the week-end with
Mr. and Mrs. Ezra Thornton.
Donna Faye returned to college
at SFA, Nacogdoches, Sunday.

Green Murphy at Guys Nursing
home near Jacksonville.
William Dossett of Waco, vis-
ited last Monday with his uncle,
Aaron Liles and Mrs. Liles.

week-end in Pasadena with Mr.
and Mrs. Kenny Williams.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bowman
of Nashville, Tenn., Mrs. Clyde
Bowman of Baytown and Mrs.
Melvin Sessions of Alto, visited
Saturday afternoon with Mr. and
Mrs. Edd Roark. Sunday, Mr.
and Mrs. Roark attended church
in Nacogdoches and were dinner
guests of their son, David, and
family. In the afternoon they
had a nice visit with Mr. and
Mrs. E. A. Stanfield.
Mr. and Mrs. Oma Cole had as
their guests last week Mr. and
Mrs. C. S. Hitbun of Pasadena.
Mr. and Mrs. Oma Morris Cole
of Mixon spent the week-end.
Mr. L. J. Jones of Grand Prairie
and Mr. Brownie Heffnie of
Alto visited on Sunday. Mr. Tom
Cooper was a recent visitor in

The holidays are over, deer sea-
son closed and folks have gone to
their homes to start the New Year.
The old schooi buses started Mon-
day morning. We have lots of
colds and sickness around here. I
stopped in to visit Mr. Frank Har-
rison and family one day last week.
Mr. Harrison was glad to be home
after spending a few days in the
hospital.
Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Dew and
children spent New Years day with
their parents and grandparents,
Mr. and Mrs. Bob Dew, in Wells,
was Mr. Bob's birthday. Sunday
was Mr. Will Dew's birthday.

that Bruce was able to leave the
hospital last Friday and will stay
